I started Leading Beyond because I kept seeing the same thing: brilliant people, stuck in broken systems.
Hi, I'm Becky!
I started my career in HR and recruitment, so when an HR Director or L&D leader tells me about the pressures they're under, I'm not just listening - I've been there!
I know what it feels like to manage performance, support dismissal processes with compassion, onboard teams at scale, and try to build something lasting when everything around you is moving fast.
Over 20 years, I've worked across HR, education, operations and senior leadership, in roles that required me to lead through sustained pressure and significant targets:

I've managed teams through a 40% vacancy rate and still improved performance.

I've redesigned processes that cut turnaround times from 12 weeks to 4.

I've taken sickness absence from 41% to 0% in two months, and sustained it.

I've led restructures, managed multi-million pound budgets, and delivered national transformation programmes.
What I learned through all of it is that sustainable change only happens when the people doing the work are genuinely involved in shaping it. Process without people is just paperwork, and leadership support which doesn't build capability is just dependency dressed up differently.
I founded Leading Beyond to bring that experience directly to HR, L&D, OD and recruitment leaders, as an expert who has worked in their world, not just consulted on it
I'm a Chartered CIPD member and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. I hold a PGDip in both HR Management and Executive Coaching, and am a qualified Executive Coach (ILM Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma), because I believe in the same ongoing development I ask of the leaders I work with.
Based in Sheffield with my husband and son. Working with teams across the UK.
