Team Coaching
Every team is on a track of its own.
Your Hurdles & Beyond® is team coaching for the real challenge in front of you: the target you are reaching for, the change you are working through, the way of working you want to build together.
We help your team understand what stands in the way, work through it, and recognise how far they have come.
The challenges are the hurdles.
Working through them, together, is the coaching.
Most teams are asked to deliver something demanding while still finding their feet with one another. There is a goal to reach, pressure to perform, and not much room to step back and look honestly at how the team is actually working. The result is teams that keep moving without ever quite finding their stride.
Team coaching makes space. It is not training, and it is not a workshop with a tidy set of answers; it is a considered piece of work in which a team looks at the challenge it is facing, names what is genuinely getting in the way, and builds the capability to move through it together.
The goal you are working towards is the vehicle; a stronger, more capable team is what lasts.

A journey with shape
Throughout, the team sets the pace and names its own hurdles; the role of the coach is to hold the space, to support and challenge, and to make sure progress is seen rather than rushed past.

Your Hurdles & Beyond™ takes a team along a track with a clear beginning, a defined finish line, and recognition built in along the way. The shape holds; what happens within it belongs entirely to your team.
The journey runs through five stages: the Warm-Up Zone, the Starting Line, the Hurdles, the Finish Line, and the Podium & Beyond.
The Warm-Up Zone
Where the team orients itself: to who it is, to the challenge it is really being asked to meet, and to the conditions that let it work honestly together.
The Starting Line
Where understanding becomes commitment, and the team agrees what it is working towards and how it will know it is making progress.
The Hurdles
The heart of the work, where the team surfaces and works through the challenges in its way, one at a time, at the pace it is ready for.
The Finish Line
Where the team looks back honestly at what it achieved, what it learned, and the difference it has made.
The Podium & Beyond
Where progress is properly recognised, however hard-won or incremental, and the team decides who it wants to be as it carries on.
Progress is recognised, not just chased
A great deal of working life is spent moving from one demand to the next with no pause to acknowledge what has been done.
Your Hurdles & Beyond™ builds recognition into the journey, because noticing progress is part of what makes the next step possible. In athletics, a personal best in a race you did not win still counts; the same is true for a team. There is never failure here, only growth.
Built around your challenge, not a template
There is no off-the-shelf programme to be worked through regardless of who is in the room. The journey adapts to the team in front of it; the hurdles are yours, the pace is yours, and the work goes where the team needs it to go.
Honest, safe, and held with care
Team coaching can surface genuine feelings: disagreement, frustration, relief. That is part of working as a team rather than alongside one another.
The coaching is held in a way that makes honesty possible, with clear agreements about what stays within the team and what, if anything, is ever shared more widely.
Who it is for
Your Hurdles & Beyond™ team coaching suits intact teams with a real challenge to work towards: a stretch goal, a new service to deliver, a transition to navigate, or simply the wish to work together more effectively. It works particularly well for teams ready to look honestly at themselves and willing to give the work the time it deserves.
It is a developmental journey rather than a rapid fix, so it is not the right tool for a team in acute crisis needing immediate resolution; where that is the case, we will say so honestly and point you towards what would genuinely help.
If you lead the team, this is a chance to step into the work alongside your team rather than carrying it alone, with your own support running quietly in parallel.
If you are commissioning team coaching for a team you are responsible for, you will have a clear, considered process, regular sight of how the journey is progressing, and the confidence that the work is held to a genuine standard.
Either way, the conversation starts in the same place: understanding what your team is really working towards.
